A quiet Dalmatian village 8km south of Zadar. The cheapest accommodation in the area — own car recommended, local feel guaranteed.
Bibinje is the budget-winner of the Zadar area. It's a real Dalmatian village — not a tourist hub — which means lower prices, local bakeries, and a much quieter atmosphere than anywhere closer to the Old Town.
The trade-off is transport: you need a car (or a bike) to get the most out of it. The drive to Zadar is 10–15 minutes, but without wheels you're limited. If you're already renting a car for day trips to Plitvice or the islands, Bibinje becomes a very smart base.
Families with cars, longer stays (7+ nights), budget travellers willing to self-cater, anyone who prefers a quieter holiday away from tourist crowds.
Studios from €28–45 off-season, €40–70 shoulder, €70–110 peak. 2-bedroom family apartments from around €65/night in shoulder season — exceptional value compared to Old Town.
