Why stay in Kolovare?
Kolovare is Zadar's most popular beach neighbourhood — a short walk south of the Old Town along a lovely promenade. The beach itself is pebbly and clean, with calm, clear Adriatic water. Most apartments here are newer and slightly larger than in the Old Town, and prices are a notch lower.
The promenade walk to the Old Town takes about 20 minutes and is genuinely pleasant — past cafés, gardens, and sea views all the way. You get the best of both worlds: beach proximity and easy city access.
Best for
Couples and families who want beach access without the Old Town premium. Also great for longer stays (5+ nights) where having a bigger apartment and outdoor space matters.
